14 February 12020 is Valentine’s Day. And it’s Statehood Day for Oregon and Arizona. I
see that Trump is standing by his claim that brain injuries suffered by troops
stationed in Iraq are not serious, that Modi’s Bharatiya Janata party made gains
in the Delhi election (but remains marginal there), that the so-called Islamic
State is again preparing to strike, and that I’m not really all that interested
in anything that is going on right now. A consequence of being old and isolated
I suppose—or maybe just of being depressed.
