20 March 2020

20 March 12020 is the Vernal Equinox for much of the Northern Hemisphere, though for my particular part of it it fell on the evening before. It looks like it’s Independence Day in Tunisia and the International Day of Happiness as well. It’s 1 Farvardin 1399, 11 Paremhat 1736, 4 Mina 5120, and JD 2458928 on various calendars around the world. And of course the sun is entering Aries, which brings on the beginning of spring or autumn, depending on which half of the world you happen to live in.
I seem to have this hacking cough and I feel hot, which in ordinary times wouldn’t bother me, but now—what with having a potentially lethal virus on the prowl—worries me a bit. I mean, I get these sorts of symptoms every spring when the flowers start to bloom (as they are doing now) so I kind of feel that this is nothing strange, certainly nothing to worry about—but what if it is? How the hell am I supposed to know?
